Listening to the Storm

"Listening to the Storm: A Natural Disaster in Retrospective," features recordings of firsthand accounts of the storm by first responders, volunteers, and survivors, as well as a large, high definition map showing the tornado damage path in Tuscaloosa. Visitors are encouraged to place a provided sticker on the map in reference to their location during the tornado. 

"Listening to the Storm" will run April 23-June 7 at the museum located at 1901 Jack Warner Parkway.

The Mildred Westervelt Warner Transportation Museum offers opportunities for education and assists in preserving our region's historic artifacts.

 

The Mildred Westervelt Warner Transportation Museum presents its 2013 Summer Movie Series.

Just as last year, patrons can carpool to the event. Admission will be $5 per carload or group, up to seven people. Attendees can bring snacks, non-alcoholic beverages, blankets, and chairs to make their viewing experience more pleasurable. The movies will be shown on a 45-foot inflatable theater screen, set up atop the old Queen City Pool behind the MWWTM, located at 1901 Jack Warner Parkway, and will start at 8  p.m.
